Diamond Miners, Hanifee Blank Jackson, 8-0 Saturday, July 31st, 2021 Brenan Hanifee of the Buffalo Diamond Miners spun his magic on the Jackson Arrows today. He blanked them 8-0 on 3 hits, registering 5 strikeouts and 4 walks. "The bottom line was I just kept the ball down," Hanifee said. "My breaking stuff was down. Everything was down." Talking to reporters in the postgame interview, Buffalo skipper Don Mattingly said the team "got solid pitching, good defense and took great team at-bats in a lot of different situations." "Brenan pitched really well but this was a solid performance by everyone," he said. Up to now Hanifee has compiled an ERA of 5.44 with a 6-6 mark over 18 starts.
