Castro Touches All the Bases, Hits for Cycle Thursday, July 8th, 2021 Willi Castro had a banner day at the plate today, stringing together all four legs of the cycle as the Modesto Mavericks beat the Newark Crawdads, 12-0. Castro drilled 4 hits in 5 at-bats, collecting 3 RBI and scoring 3 runs to capture the win for Modesto. "I was fortunate to see some good pitches and I was fortunate to be able to make the most of them," he said later. "It was a good day for us." Willi Castro doubled in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Matt Peacock in the 3rd, hit an RBI triple in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and grounded out in the 8th.
