Valencia Sensational, 5-for-5 Saturday, June 19th, 2021 The Cincinnati Defenders upended the Aurora Butchers at Butchers Ballpark today, thanks in large part to first baseman Danny Valencia, who had a smashing day with the bat, racking up 5 hits in 5 at-bats. His big effort helped propel the Defenders to a 11-5 victory. Danny Valencia hit an RBI single in the 1st, doubled in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Daniel Tillo in the 5th, hit an RBI double in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Tanner Rainey in the 9th. During the current season Valencia is batting at a .232 clip with 10 home runs and 19 RBIs. He has played in 42 games and scored 22 times. View Boxscore |
