Rowdy Players Suspended by League Tuesday, June 8th, 2021 After an intense confrontation, both the Keys Rangel Ravelo and the Diamond Miners Jacob Heatherly were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent West Livingston-Buffalo game. Rangel Ravelo will miss 4 games, while Jacob Heatherly was suspended for 6 games. "Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Rangel Ravelo commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play." So far this year, Ravelo is batting .242 with 6 home runs and 24 RBIs. To date this season Heatherly sports a 0-2 mark with a 4.94 ERA in 5 starting assignments. He has held the opposition to a .239 batting average and has 24 strikeouts in 23.2 innings. |
