Benito Garcia Out for Season Saturday, June 5th, 2021 The season is apparently over for Benito Garcia. The Minneapolis Yellow Jackets medical staff informed the club that the starting pitcher will be out at least 8-9 months with a fractured elbow. Garcia was hurt in the game against Newark while throwing a pitch. The doctors did not think he would recover prior to the end of the season. This season Garcia has a 2-4 mark in 6 starts with a 5.91 ERA. He has given up 46 hits in 42.2 innings, struck out 46 and issued 20 walks. Opposing clubs have compiled a .272 batting average against him. |
