Darvish No-Hits Purple Warriors Wednesday, June 2nd, 2021 The Knoxville Diamond Cats were just hoping for a solid outing from Yu Darvish. Instead, they got something special. The 34-year-old hurler tossed a no-hitter against the Little Rock Purple Warriors, helping the Diamond Cats take the 1-0 win. "I felt good throughout the game," he said after his spectacular outing for the Diamond Cats. "As I was going into the ninth inning, I wasn't nervous. I knew I had a chance to do something special." Darvish's repertoire has a slider, fastball, curveball, sinker, cutter, splitter, and changeup, and he used it all to full advantage, keeping the Little Rock hitters off balance all game long. The Knoxville hurler fanned 8 and walked 1 in his history-making performance.
