Haniger Raps Phoenix for 5 Hits Thursday, September 23rd, 2021 It was high-fives all around for Mitch Haniger at Volcanoes Ballpark today. He got them from his teammates and he got them at the plate during an outstanding hitting performance against the Phoenix Volcanoes. Haniger smashed 5 hits in 5 at-bats on his monster day, leading his club to a 10-2 win. "Mitch was hitting everything," said Squirrel Cats manager sonny1527 . "It really was a special game for him." In the opposing dugout, Volcanoes manager swindaman3 told BNN beat writers that Haniger "ambushed" the club. "Obviously we didn't have much success against him, but we'll have another chance," he said. "Hopefully, Haniger oversleeps next time." Mitch Haniger hit a solo-shot off Austin Voth in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 8th.
