Urshela's Hit Streak Reaches 20 Games Tuesday, September 21st, 2021 Gio Urshela collected 2 hits in today's game and extended his hitting streak to 20 games. His club, the Tucson Dust Devils, beat the Denver Moose 8-0. "Right now, when they throw me the ball, it looks the size of a softball," Urshela quipped to a BNN reporter after the game. "I'm excited about how things are clicking." Gio Urshela hit a solo-shot off John Means in the 2nd, grounded out in the 4th, flied out in the 6th, struck out in the 7th and singled in the 8th. Currently Urshela is batting .263 with 159 hits and 23 home runs. He has knocked in 83 runs and scored 73 times. |
