Houston Dazzled, Gohara Hurls No-Hitter Saturday, September 18th, 2021 Excitement reigned at San Diego Grounds today as San Diego Matadors hurler Luiz Gohara tossed a baseball rarity -- a no-hitter. After defeating the Houston Musketeers, 5-0, he was swamped by reporters in the clubhouse for postgame comments. "I'm just glad to be here," Gohara said. "Today I just went right at the Musketeers as hard as I could, as long as I could." Gohara chalked up 14 strikeouts and allowed 2 walks in his superb performance. "I don't think they could have stopped him with a howitzer today," said San Diego manager roark . So far this year Gohara has compiled a 13-3 record with a 3.49 ERA.
