Franco Boosts Hit Streak to 20 Games Saturday, September 11th, 2021 Wander Franco extended his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20 games today in the Memphis 10-7 triumph over the Austin Murder Hornets. The 20-year-old Ragin Cajuns shortstop collected 4 hits in 5 at-bats. "Of course it's going to end," he said. "I'm just enjoying it until then." Wander Franco hit an RBI double in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Ross Stripling in the 6th and hit a two-run double in the 8th. Franco on the season is batting .324 with 11 home runs. His totals include 83 RBIs and 83 runs scored. He has played in 142 games. |
