Year Ends for Sam Delaplane in Mesa Sunday, August 29th, 2021 When Sam Delaplane was hurt against the El Paso Metro Stars, the Mesa Barracudas were hopeful that the injury was not serious. However, it proved to be more severe than first thought. The 26-year-old reliever suffered a torn flexor tendon in his elbow throwing a pitch in yesterday's game. Team doctors told BNN today that Delaplane would miss 13 months of the season. For the season Delaplane has no saves, tossed 64.2 innings, fanned 84 batters and produced an ERA of 4.59. He has also been credited with 3 wins and 2 losses. |
