La Stella's 22-Game Hit Streak Ends Saturday, August 21st, 2021 Tommy La Stella had his hitting streak snapped at 22 games today during a 5-2 San Diego win over the Mesa Barracudas at Barracudas Ballpark. The 32-year-old second baseman was hitless in 5 at-bats. "Had to end sometime," La Stella said, shrugging. For the year La Stella is hitting .343 with 18 home runs.
