Arenado and Mills Brawl, League Suspends Them
Monday, July 26th, 2021
If there wasn't a history between Nolan Arenado of New York and Alec Mills of El Paso, then there is one now. The incident between the two sparked a bench-clearing scrum with those two being the center of attention. Now they will miss 4 and 9 games respectively as a result of their actions. The league office announced their suspensions today.
"We're both really competitive," Arenado said later, "and sometimes things go a little too far because of it."
Arenado is presently batting .332 with 33 home runs, 82 runs scored and 89 RBIs. His OBP is .403.
This season Mills has worked 82.2 innings with 93 strikeouts en route to a 7-2 record and a 4.25 ERA.
