Sun Kings Get Past Musketeers 8-3 to Open CS
|
The Ft. Worth Sun Kings started the Division Championship Series in style today, winning on the road against the Houston Musketeers at Musketeers Ballpark by a score of 8-3 to take an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series. Sun Kings left-hander Chris Sale threw 6 innings of 5-hit ball.
Bryan Reynolds was a prime contributor to the Ft. Worth win. He went 1 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the top of the ninth with no one out, the 26-year old left fielder hit a 3-run home run. It made the score 8-3, in favor of the Sun Kings.
"We swung the bats good throughout the lineup," said Ft. Worth skipper astraea.m.k .
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Musketeers Ballpark. Slated to start are James Paxton for the Ft. Worth Sun Kings and Dustin May for the the Houston Musketeers.
