Raucous Ft. Worth Ballpark of the Kings Crowd Propels Sun Kings to 6-3 Victory; Series Tied at 3
|
The Ft. Worth Sun Kings and the Baltimore Archers will take the World Series to a decisive 7th game. In a must-win situation today, the Sun Kings beat the Archers 6-3 at Ft. Worth Ballpark of the Kings to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. Ft. Worth left-hander James Paxton had a big role in the win. He threw 5 innings of shutout ball.
Paxton, who was born in Vancouver, Canada, threw 90 pitches over 5 innings, while allowing no runs.
"I got everyone together and told them they did great today," Ft. Worth manager astraea.m.k told BNN reporters after the game. "But I warned them that even if we make it out of the World Series, it's only going to get harder."
The next game is set to be played tomorrow. Slated to start are Blake Snell for Baltimore and Forrest Whitley for Ft. Worth.
