Sun Kings Hammered by Trout, Drop Game 2 to Archers
|
The Baltimore Archers relied on the hitting of center fielder Mike Trout to get by the Ft. Worth Sun Kings, 9-6, in Game 2 of the World Series today. For the game, Trout was 2 for 2 with a home run, a triple, 2 walks, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 3 times. The clubs are now tied, 1-1.
Baltimore used the bat of Pete Alonso to get the win. The first baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Archers ahead, 4-2. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it did its damage.
"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said Baltimore manager damgagnon .
Game 3 is set to be played Thursday, October 7th, 2021 in Baltimore. Slated to start are Forrest Whitley for the Ft. Worth Sun Kings and Blake Snell for the the Baltimore Archers.
