Syndergaard Handcuffs Simules, Archers Seize 1-0 Advantage in CS
Noah Syndergaard and the Baltimore Archers opened the Division Championship Series in brilliant fashion today, traveling to New Orleans and shutting out the host Simules at The Amazon.com Simulator 3-0 to secure an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series. Syndergaard, the Archers right-hander, threw 8 innings of shutout ball.

The Simules had trouble solving Syndergaard, who surrendered no runs on 5 hits over 8 innings.

Syndergaard told a Baltimore Bulletin reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at The Amazon.com Simulator. Slated to start are Luis Severino for the Baltimore Archers and Nate Pearson for the the New Orleans Simules.
