Yaks Prevail, 6-5, Over Cleveland
|
Baseball fans saw a good contest between the New York Yaks and Cleveland Spiders.
With designated hitter Nick Castellanos leading the charge, the New York Yaks defeated the Cleveland Spiders, 6-5, at Yaks Ballpark. Castellanos, who is tied for 9th in the OLL in triples with 4, was 3 for 4 with 2 doubles, while scoring 2 runs. New York now has a record of 43-35 with the win.
In the bottom of the sixth, New York left fielder Andrew McCutchen gave his team the lead. With two out and a runner on 3rd, Cutch hit his 12th home run of the year. Cleveland pitcher Antonio Senzatela surrendered it. With that, the Yaks jumped in front, 6-5.
"That's a solid team effort right there," said McCutchen. "Everyone's feeling positive after that win."
