Sycamores Lose to Metro Stars, 6-4
|
Brooklyn got a terrific game from third baseman Orlando Arcia. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to El Paso, 6-4. Arcia went 2 for 4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Giovanny Gallegos converted his 19th save in 20 tries. With the win, El Paso goes to 33-35, while the Sycamores fall to 38-30.
Braden Bishop chipped in for El Paso with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the third. For the game, the center fielder had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 RBI.
"It feels good to get this one," Bishop told the El Paso Bulletin.
