Murder Hornets Prevail, 4-2, Over Brooklyn
|
The Brooklyn Sycamores got a sterling performance from pitcher Tyler Mahle, but the Austin Murder Hornets still prevailed, 4-2. Mahle threw 6 innings of 4-hit ball. Dellin Betances closed it out for his 2nd save. The win puts Austin at 6-2.
In the bottom of the sixth, Austin first baseman Jesus Aguilar gave his team the lead. With one out and the bases loaded, El Causa hit his 1st home run of the year. Brooklyn pitcher Tyler Mahle surrendered it. With that, the Murder Hornets jumped in front, 4-1.
"I still think this team can play even better," Aguilar told the Austin Today.
