Brooklyn right-hander Lance McCullers Jr. pitched his team to victory over the El Paso Metro Stars at El Paso Grounds. The final score was 3-2. In 5.2 innings, McCullers Jr. surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 2. He allowed no runs.

It could have been a different outcome for Brooklyn, had it not been for Orlando Arcia, the 26-year old third baseman . Arcia contributed a solo home run in the top of the sixth inning to put Brooklyn up, 3-0.

"I just tried to make good contact," said Arcia.

With the victory, the Sycamores upped their record to 38-29.
