Led by Pete Alonso, the Baltimore Archers defeated the San Diego Matadors, 12-5. Alonso hit 3 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored three times for the Archers. Baltimore pitcher Chad Green got the win, upping his record to 1-0. Blake Weiman got the loss. The win puts Baltimore at 6-3.

Gleyber Torres, who was drafted in the 3rd round of the 2020 draft, aided the Baltimore cause with a 2-run double in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the second baseman was 1 for 5 with a double, while adding 2 RBI.

"We put it together today and came out with the win," Torres said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
