Piscotty Powers Fury to 9-8 Win
|
In a tight contest at Ragin Cajuns Ballpark, the Seattle Fury edged the Memphis Ragin Cajuns by the score of 9-8. Seattle right fielder Stephen Piscotty, who blasted 1 home run, was a key contributor. Jose Urquidy, 1-2, earned the win in relief. He allowed 1 run on 3 hits in 1.2 innings. DeMarcus Evans, credited with the save, is now 1 for 2 in save opportunities.
Piscotty had a key at-bat for Seattle early in the game. With runners on 2nd and 3rd, he hit a 3-run home run. It was his 14th home run of the season and gave Seattle an early 3-0 lead.
"I'm just happy to help the team win," Piscotty told the Seattle News.
The win puts Seattle at 24-40.
