Larnach Delivers Clutch At-Bat for Greensboro in Walk-Off Win
|
Dedicated fans weathered the storm to watch their beloved Jabberwocks beat the Milkshakes.
The Milwaukee Milkshakes got a sterling performance from pitcher Julio Urias, but the Greensboro Jabberwocks still prevailed, 4-3. Urias threw 5 innings of 3-hit ball. Trevor Gott earned the win after being called from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 1.1 innings. He upped his record to 2-1.
Trevor Larnach was the walk-off hero for Greensboro. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Jabberwocks right fielder hit a dramatic solo home run to send the teams home.
In postgame comments to the Greensboro Herald, Larnach said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
The victory gives Greensboro a record of 37-28.
