Hit Parade: Nolasco Pops 5 Hits
|
5 times is the charm -- at least for Rodolfo Nolasco.
The Shelbyville Gold Miners left fielder tore up the Amarillo Mud Hens to the tune of 5 hits in 7 at-bats at Gold Miners Ballpark today. The offensive onslaught from Nolasco powered the Gold Miners to a 8-7 win.
"Nolasco was a tough out today," Amarillo manager Mike Frohnapfel said to the press in the postgame interview. "He hit some very good pitches with that quick bat of his. Not an easy out, that's for sure."
Rodolfo Nolasco struck out in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 7th, doubled in the 8th, singled in the 9th and hit an RBI single in the 11th.
Thus far this year Nolasco is hitting .320 with 6 home runs, 29 RBIs and 40 runs scored.
