The Brooklyn Sycamores picked up a win at The Grove, knocking off the San Diego Matadors, 5-1. Starting pitcher Lance McCullers Jr. played a key role in the triumph. The 4th-place Sycamores have won 5 in a row.
The Sycamores got a big at-bat from center fielder Randy Arozarena. For the game, Arozarena was 3 for 3 with 2 doubles and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fifth, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 8th double of the season gave Brooklyn a 2-1 lead.
