Isotopes Win Thriller, 9-8
|
The Albuquerque Isotopes overcame a fine performance by Tucson right fielder Adam Haseley to defeat the Dust Devils, 9-8, at The Meltdown. Haseley was 5 for 5 with a home run, a double, 3 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Albuquerque reliever David Robertson was the winner. His record is now 3-0. Cam Bedrosian took the loss. With the win, Albuquerque raised its record to 28-27.
The Isotopes procured the win, in large part because of designated hitter Nelson Cruz. In the bottom of the tenth, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.
"We battled our tails off to get this win," said Albuquerque manager Niv Shah.
