Jabberwocks Lose to Sycamores, 10-8
The Greensboro Jabberwocks got a superb performance from shortstop Cole Tucker, but the Brooklyn Sycamores still won the game, 10-8. Tucker went 3 for 4 with 2 doubles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Brooklyn reliever Reggie McClain picked up the win to move to 1-0. Tommy Kahnle suffered the loss. Getting the save was Nick Vincent, his 1st.

The Sycamores got a big at-bat from catcher Reese McGuire. For the game, McGuire went 1 for 5 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 6th home run of the season gave Brooklyn a 9-7 lead.

"We'll grab a cold beverage tonight and go after another win tomorrow," McGuire said.

With the victory, the Sycamores upped their record to 31-24.
