Moose Win at Indianapolis, 3-1
|
The Denver Moose got a magnificent performance from pitcher Dinelson Lamet, who stifled the Indianapolis offense en route to a 3-1 Moose win at The Junkyard. In 6 innings, Lamet surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 4. He allowed 1 run. Josh Hader earned the save, his 15th.
It could have been a different outcome for Denver, had it not been for Esteban Quiroz, the 29-year old second baseman . Quiroz contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the seventh inning to put Denver up, 3-1.
"It was a good effort all around," said Lamet.
The 7th-place Moose are now 27-28, the Gearheads 22-33.
