Pollock Hits 2 home runs in Fury Win
|
The Seattle Fury beat the Austin Murder Hornets, 6-2, at Seattle Fields. Seattle center fielder A.J. Pollock had an outstanding performance. He hit 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. The winning pitcher was Brendan McKay. He's now 1-0. He went 5.1 innings, allowing 2 runs on 6 hits for the Fury. The Fury sport a record of 21-36.
With Seattle leading 1-0 in the bottom of the first, Pollock hit a changeup from Bryan Hudson for a 2-run home run. It was his 10th home run of the season and put the Fury ahead, 3-0.
"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Pollock said after the game.
