The Charlotte Carp Streamers downed the El Paso Metro Stars, 6-3, at Koinobori Park. Didi Gregorius led the way, going 2-for-4 for Charlotte. Tyler Zuber, now 1-0, was credited with the win. He allowed no runs on no hits, while striking out 1 and walking 0. Diego Castillo closed the game out for Charlotte, earning his 9th save.

Gregorius had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a 1-0 slider from Alec Mills, he banged a 3-run home run to right, giving the Carp Streamers a 6-3 lead. It was the 11th home run of the year for Gregorius.

"We'll enjoy this win," said Gregorius. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."

The win puts Charlotte at 21-32.
