Musketeers Roll Over Gearheads, 9-1
|
Led by Trevor Story, the Houston Musketeers downed the Indianapolis Gearheads, 9-1. Story went 2 for 4 with a home run and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2 for the Musketeers. The winner in relief was Dennis Santana. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 3.1 innings. He now owns a record of 3-0. The Gearheads, at 20-31, have lost 14 in a row.
Houston used the bat of Max Kepler to get the win. The right fielder hammered a grand slam home run in the top of the second inning to put the Musketeers ahead, 5-0. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it did its damage.
"It's nice to come out on top today," said Kepler.
