Alex Verdugo impressed in the 8-3 Austin win over New York. Verdugo, who finished 5th in the OLL in doubles with 43 last year, went 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. With the win, the Murder Hornets have a record of 24-24.

Jesus Aguilar, who is on pace for 108 RBI this season, aided the Austin cause with a run-scoring double in the bottom of the third. For the game, the first baseman was 2 for 5 with a double.

"Enjoyed this one," Aguilar told the Austin Today. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
