Baltimore beat Albuquerque on the strength of starter Joey Wentz's fine effort. The left-hander led his team to a win, 4-3. The victory gives Baltimore a record of 27-17.
Baltimore used a clutch hit from Javier Baez to get the win. The shortstop drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Archers ahead, 4-3. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a doozy.
Albuquerque manager Niv Shah said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.
