Metro Stars Come Back Late to Top Sun Kings, 4-2
|
The Metro Stars grabbed a win, 4-2, at El Paso Grounds, overcoming a fine effort from Ft. Worth pitcher Deivi Garcia. Garcia went 6 innings and allowed 2 runs. The win belongs to Aaron Bummer in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Peter Fairbanks took the loss for Ft. Worth. Giovanny Gallegos picked up the save for El Paso, his 12th of the year.
Adam Frazier hit a run-scoring double off Peter Fairbanks in the bottom of the eighth, which put the Metro Stars in front, 3-2. In addition to the double, Frazier had 1 single, while going 2 for 4.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Frazier. "And not try to do too much."
El Paso now has a record of 22-22 with the win.
