Mendoza Swings for the Cycle
|
Drew Mendoza of the Jersey City Bombardiers helped his club in a big way today, hitting for the cycle in their 6-4 win against the Oakland Alliance. The 4 hits, 3 runs batted in and 2 runs scored for Mendoza led the way for the Bombardiers.
"It was just a perfect day at the ballpark," Mendoza said later.
Drew Mendoza doubled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit a three-run home run off Casey Sadler in the 6th, flied out in the 8th and tripled in the 11th.
For the season, Mendoza is hitting at a .224 clip with 22 home runs, 63 RBIs and has scored 54 runs. He has 92 hits, 53 walks and a .315 on-base percentage.
