Jabberwocks Get Close Win Over Murder Hornets, 4-3
|
Greensboro Jabberwocks starter Luke Weaver was in fine form against the Austin Murder Hornets at The Bandersnatch, leading his team to a win, 4-3. Austin Adams, credited with the win, is now 3-3. He allowed 3 runs on 2 hits. Greensboro now has a record of 21-18 with the win.
Yusniel Diaz was the walk-off hero for Greensboro. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Jabberwocks center fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"I'm glad I could get it done when the game was in the balance," Weaver said in his postgame press conference.
