Worcester Beats Alden 10-0, Hernandez Ks 16
|
Elieser Hernandez of the Worcester Rattlers put on a pitching clinic today at Rattlers Ballpark as he struck out 16 Alden Crosscutters in a 10-0 victory. Hernandez, who is tied for 7th in the OAA with a 13.9 K/9 rate, was simply magnificent as he held the Crosscutters to 3 hits. He walked 1.
"I felt okay at the beginning," Hernandez said, "but eventually my fastball really started working. I also have to thank my catcher for calling a great game."
When asked about Hernandez's performance, Rattlers manager Buddy Carlyle shook his head and said, "Yeah, he was good out there today. He was dominating."
So far this season Hernandez has 3 wins and 4 losses and a 3.73 ERA.
