Milkshakes Beat Brooklyn, 10-9
|
Behind a fine performance from Jorge Soler, the Milwaukee Milkshakes knocked off the Brooklyn Sycamores, 10-9. Soler went 2 for 4 with 2 home runs and a walk, while scoring 3 times and driving in 3 for the Milkshakes. The win belongs to Robert Gsellman in relief. His record improves to 2-1. Jordan Hicks took the loss for Brooklyn. With the win, Milwaukee upped its record to 21-14.
The game came to a dramatic end. In the bottom of the ninth, with Milwaukee trailing 9-8, Soler hit a fastball from Jordan Hicks for a 2-run home run, giving the Milkshakes the walk-off win.
"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said Milwaukee manager mmaude .
