Simules Come Back Late to Top Murder Hornets, 3-1
New Orleans and Austin duked it out and the Simules came out victorious.

The Austin Murder Hornets got a sterling performance from pitcher Tyler Anderson, but the New Orleans Simules still prevailed, 3-1. Anderson threw 7 innings of 5-hit ball. Michael Fulmer, now 3-0, was credited with the win. He allowed no runs on 2 hits, while striking out 1 and walking 0. Edwin Diaz earned the save for New Orleans, his 8th of the year.

New Orleans used a timely hit from J.P. Crawford to get the win. The shortstop delivered a 2-run triple in the top of the eighth inning to put the Simules on top, 3-1. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was huge.

"We've got a great group of guys," Crawford said, "and we're having fun right now."

The Simules have an impressive 22-12 record.
