8-4 Loss Extends Charlotte Losing Streak
|
Charlotte got a terrific performance from second baseman Keston Hiura, but it wasn't enough to beat the Denver Moose. Denver won the Koinobori Park contest, 8-4. Hiura went 4-5 with a home run and 2 doubles. He scored 2 times for the losing team. Nick Sandlin finished to wrap up his 2nd save. The last-place Carp Streamers have lost 11 consecutive games.
One significant plate appearance for Denver came with one out in the top of the first inning. Moose first baseman Jose Osuna hit a sacrifice fly, which helped his team go on to win.
"This losing is getting old," said Charlotte manager Henry.Woodbury .
