Gearheads Deal Sycamores 6-3 Loss
|
Mike Trout left his imprint on the 6-3 Indianapolis win against the Brooklyn Sycamores. Trout, who is tied for 2nd in the OLL with a 1.145 OPS, went 1 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Getting the save was Nick Anderson, his 5th. The win puts Indianapolis at 19-13.
With Indianapolis leading 2-0 in the top of the second, Trout hit a fastball from Brent Honeywell Jr. for a 2-run home run. It was his 13th home run of the season and put the Gearheads ahead, 4-0.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Trout said after the game.
