Metro Stars Win at New York, 10-8
|
El Paso and New York duked it out and the Metro Stars came out victorious.
El Paso shortstop Adalberto Mondesi had a 4-RBI game, which proved instrumental in his team beating the New York Yaks, 10-8. Mondesi picked up 2 singles and 1 double in the ballgame. The winning pitcher was Robbie Ray. He's now 2-1. He went 6 innings, allowing 4 runs on 7 hits for the Metro Stars. Giovanny Gallegos recorded his 8th save for El Paso.
El Paso took a 7-4 lead on Mondesi's 5th double of the season. The 2-run double, which he hit off Oscar De La Cruz in the top of the eighth, propelled El Paso to the win.
"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Mondesi.
The victory makes El Paso 12-20.
