Phoenix Gets 9-1 Win Against Gearheads
A 4-RBI performance from third baseman Brad Miller led the Phoenix Volcanoes to a win over the Indianapolis Gearheads, 9-1. The winner in relief was Brandon Waddell. He is now 1-0. The left-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 3 innings. The win puts Phoenix at 1-1.

With Phoenix leading 1-0 in the bottom of the third, Miller hit a fastball from Matt Manning for a grand slam home run. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Volcanoes ahead, 5-0.

"A great team win and something real positive we can build on," said Miller after the game.
