|
Led by an outstanding performance from starter Cody Bolton, the Buffalo Diamond Miners topped the Jackson Arrows today by a score of 6-2 at Arrows Ballpark. The 22-year-old Bolton brought his top game to the mound, striking out 15 batters while allowing 2 hits and giving up no walks.
"He made a lot of good pitches out there," Arrows manager Alex Crespo said. "He made some of our guys look bad. We didn't help matters, but we really have to give him credit -- he didn't make many mistakes."
Presently Bolton has a 3-2 mark in 7 starts with a 2.74 ERA. He has given up 30 hits in 42.2 innings, struck out 58 and issued 7 walks. Opposing clubs have compiled a .190 batting average against him.
