Torres Slugs Archers to 8-3 Win
Gleyber Torres made an impact in the 8-3 Baltimore win over Tucson. Torres, who is tied for 7th in the OLL in total bases with 337, hit 3 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored three times. Luis Severino got the win, improving to 14-8. He held the Dust Devils to 3 runs on 5 hits over 5.1 innings, while striking out 7 and walking 2. The win for the Archers raised their record to 97-58.

With Baltimore leading 1-0 in the top of the fourth, Torres hit a fastball from Daniel Lynch for a 2-run home run. It was his 49th home run of the season and put the Archers ahead, 3-0.

"This was a good win for us," said Torres. "It's one more step toward our ultimate goal."
