Nightcaps Clip Fury, 6-5
|
The Nashville Nightcaps did just enough to secure a victory over the Seattle Fury, 6-5, at Seattle Fields. Nobody did more than pitcher Luis Patino. The win belongs to Nick Anderson in relief. His record improves to 1-5. Zack Kelly took the loss for Seattle. The Nightcaps, at 92-59, have now won 4 straight.
Nashville needed the clutch hitting of Mason Martin to notch the win. The designated hitter hammered a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Nightcaps on top, 6-5. For the game, Martin had 1 home run and 2 singles in 4 at-bats.
"I like seeing our guys get a return on what they've put in," said Nashville manager jacochri .
