Close Win Moves Barracudas to 61-86
|
The Mesa Barracudas took Ft. Worth pitcher Edward Cabrera's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Ft. Worth Ballpark of the Kings. The final score had Mesa getting past the Sun Kings, 4-3. Cabrera went 6 innings and allowed 3 runs, striking out 10. Mesa reliever Kendall Graveman picked up the win, upping his record to 10-2. Seranthony Dominguez absorbed the loss. With the win, Mesa goes to 61-86, while the Sun Kings fall to 90-57.
Mesa used the timely hitting of Marcell Ozuna to seize the win. The left fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Barracudas on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"We did enough to win," said Ozuna.
