The Brooklyn Sycamores got a superb performance from pitcher Carlos Martinez, but the San Diego Matadors still won the game, 7-5. Martinez threw 5 innings of shutout ball. San Diego now has a record of 72-65 with the win.

The game came to an abrupt end with one out in the bottom of the ninth. On a pitch from Brent Honeywell Jr., Bryce Harper hit a walk-off 2-run home run. It gave San Diego the 7-5 win.
