Sycamores Lose Late, 6-4
|
San Diego and Brooklyn duked it out and the Matadors came out victorious.
The San Diego Matadors beat the Brooklyn Sycamores, 6-4, at San Diego Grounds. San Diego left fielder Chris Taylor had an outstanding performance. He was 2 for 4 with a home run and a triple, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. The win puts San Diego at 71-65 this season.
Luis Guillorme helped out the San Diego cause in the bottom of the seventh inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the shortstop went 2 for 4 with 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Taylor.
